New Heritage Films & Harlemwood Film Festival produces films, videos and documentaries that explore the Black experience in unique ways.

Once a year, 12 aspiring filmmakers are chosen to discuss and practice the fundamentals of film directing from script to screen. They're provided thorough training in screenwriting, video editing and production.

Award winning short productions include:

DA ZONE; BURNING SAND; HIP HOP IN THE PROMISE LAND

Workshops are offered to aspiring writers from Harlem and the greater New York City area.
