Details

Voza Rivers / New Heritage Theatre Group Invites You In celebration of New Heritage Theatre Group's 60th Anniversary Season to see our artist in resident Oyu Oro Afro-Cuban Experimental Dance Ensemble

**Complimentary Admission**

The experimental Afro-Cuban movement ensemble Oyu Oro returns to Lincoln Center with CUBAILA, a full-length performance of enervating and multinational cross-cultural dance.

Danys "La Mora" Perez, the company's Artistic Director, founding member and 2019 Doris Duke Fellow, brings decades of creative and personal experience to Oyu Oro's politically relevant choreography and staging.

The NYC-based troupe's repertoire honors its company members' indigenous heritage by incorporating traditional music and dance styles and ethos from across Cuba and the Caribbean including rumba, salsa, chancletas and comparsa.

This program is presented in collaboration with Harlem Arts Alliance and HARLEM WEEK, celebrating the excellence and diversity of Harlem's thriving arts communities.
